Especially hyperbolic for an announcer to tell us how hard it was for them to focus on the game because someone none of them actually knew died in a plane crash.

oh come on. yes, it is sad. no, nobody on the television crew is having a difficult time preparing for the game because someone they didn't know died in a plane crash. And it's utterly morbid for the network to decide we need multiple views of the offensive coordinator. "Is he crying, Bob?" "I'm sure he's crying in his heart, Stan."

Yeah it is heavy, but they said it was even hard for them to do their job this evening. Of course they have heavy hearts, but they have no probs calling the game.

daughter in law is a very close part of their family and has very deep ties to the entire LSU community. She is in the business of sports reporting and is probably at a lot of practices and LSU functions.
