he is a heck of a lot faster. He and Simpson are coming along. This unit will be elite soon.

Yes, Bentley, Simpson paired with incoming Barrett Carter and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. That will some solid LB's.

I think ALL of theyoung guys are very talented and are going to be great. The question is do they understand all of BV's complex formations and responsibilities. Better to be a 1/2 step slow than to miss assignments altogether.

I was surprised to read that Venerables had the 2nd most tackles on the team (before last night). (Turner was 1st)

Bentley always seems to look great when he is in there.

Yeah the D seems to do a lot better with tackling and perusing the ball carrier. Also helps have Mike Jones back too. I think it’s finally starting to click for these guys with all the snaps they’ve played this year.

Our coaches value experience over a bunch of other things. Like most coaches do. You have to trust a player knows the plays and is ready not to blow a big assignment.
BV defense is said not to be the easiest of things to learn. Perhaps young Bentley has learned enough to where he can get on the field more. Necessity brought it on some too of course.
The flip side to loving experience is - there is only one way to get experience! As Bentley plays I think we see an upgrade in speed at the position. Hopefully, what he lacks in experience his speed can make up for and get any mis-steps covered up!

Perusing is reading, so it is actually expected that the defense would peruse the offense.

Or if you're FSU, for a fan to peruse a 600-page novel during a game.

He definitely plays a lot faster.

I like the way Bentley plays. You often hear the coaches say that a player is ready to contribute when the game slows down for him. It appears that the game is slowing down for him and I believe we will see more from him in the next few games. Especially with Jake forced to miss the rest of the year. Coach V did a fantastic job last night. Best second half I’ve seen the Tigers play in a while.

Thinking Bentley was in for Spector and Patterson was in

You are right Joe. Patterson is also getting better and both of these guys will likely contribute to the teams late season success.

Patterson was a recruit that the Suckeyes wanted pretty bad if I remember correctly. And Bentley won the hardest hitter award- called top dog award, at one of the top champs recruits go to in the nation! Studs are starting to shine!! #ALLIN Go Tigers!!

Am I the only one that read this after watching the Utah game and thought you were asking if Utah's QB Jake Bentley looked better than South Carolina's Jake "Never Again" Bentley? I guess that was just me but, for any others that are wondering, he looked a lot like Jake "Never Again" Bentley with a better running game.

Just my opinion,
