so what is the committees basis??

Dec 7, 2014, 2:08 PM

tcu wins a close one to kansas and falls out..then they throttle iowa state and still fall out..did they have to lose like ole miss and miss st in order to stay in?

Every week, clean slate. Who are the best 4 teams?

Dec 7, 2014, 2:09 PM

That's my understanding. Last week's rankings never happened.

did you not watch the show?

Dec 7, 2014, 2:09 PM

even the Big 12 commissioner understands why his teams didn't get in.

im just courious what the basis is..

Dec 7, 2014, 2:11 PM

each week they seemed to change their routine..i mean losing close to kansas was bad..so they go out and throttle a team and still fall out..all the while miss st and ole miss lost games and stayed in..it was like a bunch of bipolar people running the committee

reasons 1 and 1A: No championship game

It's not a "penalty," it's common sense.

The other teams all had an extra opportunity for a big-time win. Is he saying he wasn't aware of that before the season?

i get that much..

Dec 7, 2014, 2:15 PM [ in reply to reasons 1 and 1A: No championship game ]

but the committee in general seems to be bipolar..losing a close game to a bad team is considered bad then beating the daylights out of a bad team is considered bad..ole miss and miss state each lost games yet remained in.

Its biased agenda. Thats why alabama got ohio st.

I couldn't agree more. The selection of Ohio St. was made to increase ESPN's profitability, i.e., Ohio St. turning on more TV sets than Baylor or TCU would.

Probably their weak non-conference strength of schedule played a big role. I suspect teams may rethink their out of conference games in the future. Should we continue playing an FCS school every year?

I agree with you. VTech is a bad loss, but I can only guess that the committee cares more about the schedule rankings as an overriding factor. OS's schedule is more difficult overall than TCU's.
