IPTAY Again ....clear as mud!

Anybody else get the "Thank YOU for Your Recent Support of IPTAY"?
Basically it was supposed to, I guess, outline your donation and how much you will be getting back. I can't make any sense of it. How they can make something that is so simple into something that is complicated it beyond me ..... or am I missing something.
Here is the summary!
Total Pledge Total Donation Total Balance
2020 IPTAY Scholarship Fund $1000.00 $1000.00 $0.00
2020 Refund Pending 2020 $1000.00 $1000.00 $0.00
____________________________________________
$2000.00 $2000.00 $0.00
Please explain what I am missing!
*Amounts I just plugged in, but would be correct for someone donating $2000 and then asking for 50% back and receiving 50 points.

The format messed up when I posted. The Total Pledge, Total Donation, and Total balance are supposed to be over the money amounts.

Looks to me like AFTER your refund:
You will have "Pledged" to donate $1000 ($2000 original pledge and $1000 refunded to you).
Total Donation (amount that you've paid/donated) is $1000 ($2000 original donated and $1000 refunded to you).
Total Balance (or pledge amount that remains for you to pay is $0).
My guess it that is just how it looks in their system, and they can send that to a large number of people without much effort. Much easier than writing out an email to everyone individually showing what their refund is.

I know how much O am getting back, but how about something like.
Amount of Donation .......... Amount of Refund
.....$2,000.00 ..................$1,000.00
Who cares about a pledge? The amount you donated is the only thing that has any relevance. You are not getting back half of what you pledged but did not give.

LOL ........ yes when the "donation" is required for the privilege of purchasing a seat in a stadium for football games and the possibility of not getting the tickets is pretty likely. I think they are more grateful than you (Noodle) that I let them keep half of it!

A “donation” is a donation...not something you ask to get back.
You don’t have to donate anything to get season tickets to football games. HTH

I’m a longtime donor and get my tickets that way. In years that al the season tickets are not sold (pretty much every year) IPTAY sells them to the general public after satisfying IPTAY members, so that’s an option. There’s also the secondary market.
Many of the people that I know have purchased season tickets for 15 or more years and have never donated to IPTAY.

I stopped donating to TNet around 2004 when it got overrun by trolls. I never asked for my donation back., you know, because it was a donation.
If the mods ever clean the board up I’ll donate again.
