Wouldn’t you like to see QB2 get early series w/ starters?

This past week was no indication of where either Reserve QB is with running the team if TL were to get nicked.

No, I'd like to see Trevor and his starting WRs develop more

chemistry. We will need some of our young and mostly unproven WRs to get more experience with Trevor.

No for TLaw to win heisman he needs to play a full 3 qrts or at least get 350 yds and 3tds before sitting. What we needed was for elliott to allow backups to run offense and not just do handoffs- kind of like last yr with brice

I'd love to see TL win the Heisman as well, but I think as long as Dabo and Lincoln Reilly are still employed I don't see it happening. Stats are not a priority at Clemson, and I'll take the 2 natty's over 2 heisman's 11 times out of 10. Plus, the acc needs to get more competitive...

I would prefer leaving the starters at the skill positions

in longer when they bring in Dj and Taisun...It is pointless bringing them in and running the Swinneys and Hamp Greene out there with them and then calling running plays on 1st and 2nd down

I think that once the new QBs get a firm grasp of the playbook and learn to read defenses that their play will improve.
Opponents will likely make adjustments in their defensive schemes when new QBs and receivers enter the game. It’s a process and the Tiger coaches will do the right thing. I promise.

I don’t mind if DJ doesn’t gets in with the starters. I just want them to have the same game plan. Let him throw the ball deep to try and work on the timing with the WRs and TEs.

On one hand, I would like to see Uiagalelei get to sling it around and see if he can do when given the green light.
However, I also think that it is kinda important to limit rivals ability to scope out the second team as the seconds are likely going to be important at some point moreso than normal. For that reason, I think the coaches were letting Phommachanh a bit more option to air it out and keeping DJ a bit more conservative.

Puma does have a year of experience over DJU

I was surprised that Streeter picked DJU over Puma to get the first look as QB2

I’d like to see TL and ETN actually have a chance to win the Heisman. I’d like to see the starters build chemistry in the first half with limited subs

If by "early" you mean middle of second quarter when Clemson is up 42-0, then I would say, "Yes."
Otherwise I could see Dabo putting the 2nd team in for a pre-designated series, say the first series of the second quarter.

No. We tried this in 2015 against Syracuse. Pulled Deshaun while up and rolling to give Bryant a chance and he promptly fumbled the ball away and flipped the momentum of the game on its head. Instead of likely driving down the field with Deshaun in a grove to take a 21-0 lead just 6-7 minutes into the game we ended up giving up the next 14 points and never held a lead of more than 14 points the rest of the game.

I think DJ is ahead of Taisun by a comfortable margin.
Doesn't matter to me if he's surrounded with 1st or 2nd team guys. Just want to see him have a chance to lead the offense for about 4 drives.
