Yea that's really strange...but I think that's going to start to become kind of normal with the conferences which play 9 conference games. There's always going to either be an unbalanced number of road/home conference games, and if you're like Michigan and play absolutely no one out of conference, those are all going to be home games.

It may have happened in the past but we just didn't notice. This the first year the B1G will have played 9 conference games. The PAC-12 and Big XII both play 9 conference games, but I think they tend to get overlooked, especially by those East of the Mississippi.

Regardless, all it takes is a weak out of conference schedule--which Michigan definitely has--to end up with 8 home games.

I think they had cut one of their OOC games

Jul 21, 2016, 9:20 PM

in order to move to 9 conference games. They cut their return trip to Colorado and the B1G gave them 5 home conference games.

When you play mostly home games, you generally do not do that well in road games. Look at coot baseball. They rarely play a road game in the first part of the season and when the road games in conference come around, they don't do so well.

I can remember back in the day that

Jul 21, 2016, 9:54 PM

Clemson played 8 home games and 3 road games in 1987. Duke sold out their right to the home game because they could make more money as a visiting team in Clemson than by hosting us there. Went to Blacksburg, Chapel Hill, and Cootlumbia for the infamous Rooooodney game as some may recall.

Their road game schedule seems pretty brutal though

Jul 21, 2016, 10:32 PM

@ Mich St, @ Ohio St, @ Iowa. They likely drop at least 2 of those IMO.

Take a look at Auburn's schedule..........

Jul 21, 2016, 10:42 PM

They have 8 with their FIRST 5 at home. Interesting.......

Clemson Football, the glory days are here!

They travel to Mississippi twice, Georgia once and in state

Jul 21, 2016, 10:49 PM

To Bama. They must have a tiny traveling budget...........given that they barely even leave their home state. I guess it is great for their fans!
