Sweden can do this because they have 3% of the population of the US and a fully integrated health care system that is better equipped to deal with a pandemic.

Sweden also has a healthier population...such as fewer type 2 diabetics scooting around.

LOL, sure. The UK has a "fully integrated healthcare system"

too.
Also, in Sweden healthcare is a lot like it is in the US. They have some socialism, but most people pay for insurance so they can go see good doctors. Only people who can't afford that use the government version. (or young people who don't have expensive health issues.)
The US has had government controlled healthcare for a long time, which is the reason for the high cost and inefficiency. The US has had a government controlled food supply and nutrition guidelines for a long time, which is the reason for the diabeatus. The US has a little socialism, as medicare and medicaid pay for people who can't afford insurance.
The USA freaked out like a bunch of little b*tches and went into lockdown mode over a hoax. Sweden didn't.

FBCoach, you see they are an educate population, along with being much more healthier. Somehow they have purged most of FBCoach types from their Country. Now if we can just figure out how to do the same.

greater measures among themselves, with no laws or lockdowns, than we could ever accomplish with a lockdown. But the premise of the OP is incorrect. I mean if you look at the numbers. They're falling in both places. But since day one, collectively, the percentage of people who've become ill is nearly the same in England and Sweden. BOTH of which are roughly HALF the infection rate in the US. Brazil is the only country to compare closely to the US. And Montenegro.
Sweden announced they were near herd immunity when the first wave ended in the summer. That's not the case. But I promise you things are not normal in Sweden, at all.
And Sweden also has a slightly higher case fatality ratio than England. And both of them are much higher than the US. Which blows tbalm's socialized medicine argument up kinda. Or, it could just be both are taking more measures than here in the US, and as such the percentage of people getting it and dying are skewed more to older population. Don't know. Either way.....
Anyway, I just look at numbers. Swedes are not like Americans, you're absolutely correct.

But again, numbers are all I go by. Your article is revisionist news.

twice the area. Their infection rate (per million) is higher than the UKs. Their death rate (per million) is lower.
I imagine Swede's a very healthy bunch - so that likely helped keep their death rate lower.
