Not playing the national anthem. What's next? NBA not playing it ever. Not flying the flag...fast forward into more liberalism...citations for flying the flag turn into confiscating your guns because you are deemed a threat because you flew the flag...
I don't know why you people think the USA is immune to this going bad. What you are witnessing today is a very large step in this direction.

Hopefully Cuban will play the Canadian anthem when the Raptors come to town. What a PC move! Doesn't affect me. The NBA is nothing I have the remotest interest in watching.

I signed up to be a part of a test group for liberals because I wanted first hand early information on where this country is headed.
They are coming to take my guns AND my flag next week on Tuesday between 10AM and 2PM. That's the bad news. At least I'll be home because I don't work and rely on free handouts and stuff so it won't be that inconvenient.
The good news is that college for my kids will be free starting Fall 2021 and all of their student loan debt will be wiped away on May 1. Also, heathcare will be free starting May 1 so with enough heads up I've already scheduled my Dr visits but they can't see me until December because of free healthcare causing bad service.
On one hand, I LOVE free stuff. You do too, admit it. It's the American way. On the other hand I really wish I could keep maybe just 1 gun so I can go hunting. I may just set one back and reserve it but I really don't want to take the beatdown by goons if I get caught.
Anyways, you are right. Tip of the iceburg. Our test group meets again tomorrow so I'll give more updates when I get them.

I never quite got the logic of playing the national anthem before ballgames anyway. If it wasn't a habit, no one would even notice.

The NBA recognizes eliminating the anthem is not financially a good move. I still believe most Americans like hearing the anthem and even standing up and still. However, Cuban is probably a beneficiary too. Now he gets credit for being woke. Says he will still kneel. This puts him in the good graces of his players and potential players that he wants in Dallas.
For me, it's irrelevant. NBA is out of sight and out of mind. In the long run, I don't think sitting or kneeling during the national anthem or wearing a towel over your head converts anyone to any cause whatever it may be.
