When we had Marquise Reed and Sheldon Mitchell, then ...

... then Brad Brownell was a brilliant FT coach.

Right?

Heck he even had Eli Thomas hitting a high percentage!

This year, Brad’s somehow forgotten everything he knew about FT coaching.

????????????

Gabe Devoe was the real reason for the success that year.

40% from 3 and 80% from the line.

Yep, Brad showed Gabe Defoe how to hit FTs too! But,

All sarcasm aside ... players become adept at FT shooting growing up ... they are either good at it or they’re not by the time they reach college.

We had some terrific FT shooters the last few years, and now we don’t.

It had a lot who you get one the line nd those guys shot good %. I looked back and Trapp shot high 60's low 70% ft his first two years. Not sure what has gotten into him. First thing is I'd get his vision checked. Just odd when a guy falls off this badly unless there is an injury though this is a small sample size recently.

Yes, great point. Getting the right people to the line is a necessity. And this is where coaching CAN make a difference.

It was worth noting that Duke shot only 50% from the line when we beat them the other week.

When has a Duke team EVER been that poor?
