What will Texas A&M do defensively against Clemson?

Sell out to stop the run? Or play to stop the pass?
Really you can’t stop both it’s really like chose your poison.
I think they play a lot of blitz’s and try to take advantage of a turnover or two.
Clemson just has to protect the football and Clemson wins by 10

I think Tech sold out to stop the pass but we decided we were going to pass anyway. When we decided to just run in the second half, receivers began getting open more easily when we did throw.
Either way, we will tie Bama with our 12th straight victory by 20+ points.

They gave up 8 yards rushing against their 1st opponent..albeit not a top tier talent...
They will challenge us to go deep..
Stack against the run and allow short passes with soft coverage in the secondary..
Expect to see some new wrinkles on offense and some tempo adjustments

heres what you’ll see:
Ags have a very good front four with some depth. we have some speed at lb and secondary.
we arent going to have a “pick your poison “ mentality and focus on one or other. it willbe more of a chess match- Elko likes to mix in a variety of blitzes, but usually just one extra man, and coming from all different places/positions. We’ll blitz some but will rely more on our front four with various wrinkles and stunts to apply pressure.
Ags believe they can contain your run game enough, and hopefully extend your drives long enough until we “hit” on an error. our secondary is improved from last year, as is our D, despite the losses to grad and NFL.
Yeah, we’ll give up some big plays, but we believe we’ll make sone big plays too.
should be a good game. i know A&M is more excited than nervous to be playing this game.

I don’t think they can really afford to stack the box. Their secondary is the biggest liability on their D.

Iah...this is a simple answer...we are good at everything Iah...but what are we best at and it’s a pick your poison type of deal...our wideouts can’t be matched by a group of db’s...Trevor is a better passer than most anyone in the country...if I’m a DC for any team then I’m doing two things...
1) what GT did in making us continue to give the ball to our Rb up the middle and see if we have the patience to do it all game...
2) make Trevor run the ball...
Neither are weaknesses for us but they are the least of the evils to choose from for other teams...
All of this is easier said than done though...I can see ETN having a huge year simply because he is the least of the evils and also if we are running the ball all the time then the clock is running also, which helps the other team also!!!
Just my opinion!!!

Their #1 priority will be stopping ETN. Book it. Any team with a decent secondary has to do this.
If TL had torn up GaTech, I still believe stopping ETN would be their primary focus.
It's very important TL and the passing game is sharp. If not, uh oh.
I have a bad feeling A&M is going to play their best game of the season next week. If we get an early lead, they won't go away.
This is our "marquee game" of the season (besides USCe).

Because while TLaw may have an off day, ETN and Lyn-J decidedly will NOT.
That said, I think TLaw is s gamer and he’ll be up for this one and firing on all cylinders.
