and I mean "WE", how do you really feel about it? I'm not asking for "from the hip" responses. I am not asking for emotional responses. I am asking for your thoughts on the mess our country is in - havign taken a step back to look at the WHOLE picture.
I, for one, am not shocked. I am dismayed that there are sides which think "theirs" is right and the "Other" is wrong. I am saddened that there is so much hatred coming from both sides and I know it will keep "US" from coming together in a way to solidify our nation as one - together - for better or for worse. But, this premise has been deteriorating for some time now. Not that we were ever perfect, nor will we ever be... especially now. And there is too much blame on both sides of the isle for one to have any true sense of "superiority" over the other.
Our nation is in a tail spin. It is burning and out of control. I am fearful for us all - because we are all on the plane.

Agreed.
And I'll add, people do have a right to know their vote counted. People have a right to know our elections are fair and 100% secure.
And I think it's time to nationalize federal elections.
But, I disagree 100% with what is going on.

I fear that the greatest nation in history is in big trouble. I just want to run my business, take care of my family, go to church and live at peace with others. That’s what I’m praying for now.

The right side: Every American, regardless of political affiliation, who understands what happened today was wrong and an affront to democracy. This is the majority.
The wrong side: The ones who charged the Capitol and those who cheered them on. This is the idiot minority.
Yes, it's shameful, but maybe enough to wake up the sane people to denounce it. It's also good to see law enforcement finally swoop in and shoo them out.
I hope the GOP--the sane members who run it and the majority who know this is wrong--work hard to alienate themselves from this group.
