Walt is wrong again.

He's demonizing Clint Stoerner for fumbling against Tenn in 1998. Arkansas OC called a pass play late in the game, trying to put a dagger in Tennessee's heart. When the ball is snapped Stoerner turns to begin his dropback extending his right foot first as he should, not knowing that his right guard has inexplicably stuck his left foot and leg behind Stoerner. Being tripped due to his nomentum, he loses his balance and falls backwards, he reaches out reflexively like any other human being with the ball in his right hand, his dominant hand, to break his fall and the ball comes out. He fumbles, Tennessee recovers and they go on to win the game and NC that season.
It was an unfortunate, freak play. No need to talk about Stoerner as if he forgot to close the door on Noah's Ark.

I’m sure there are errors here and there but the breadth of his knowledge in wide array of sports is terrific. Enjoy all the WCCP folks, but Kelly/Qualk and Walt are great. Think we are fortunate to have him in our area.

He is very good at what he does. I had an axe to grind because he thinks the OSU defender that targeted TL didn't deserve to get ejected because he thinks the guy wasn't trying to hurt him and didn't do it on purpose. He wouldn't listen to reason. When I heard the things he was saying about Stoerner I had to respond.
