Veterans Day

Had the chance to watch Saving Private Ryan again recently. What hit me this time, during James’ speech at the end while talking to the headstone of Captain Miller?

Watch it again. Replace the name of Captain Miller with every soldier who has paid the ultimate sacrifice or had wounds that never healed.

Then put yourself in James Ryan’s place. Listen to the words.

Everyday we should strive to live a good life, one worthy of those who have gone before us and also continue to put themselves in harms way today.

Thank you Dad, Nephew, Child, Uncles, Grandfather, Cousins, and high school friends. I hope I lived a good life for the price you paid.

Thank you Veterans.

very true and even those who come back paid a price too. they see things and have to do things that many never get over
