Venables broke arm?

Dec 10, 2020, 11:56 AM

Does anyone have the info on which bone he broke?

Will he be able to play with a soft cast on Sat. if
Skalski goes out again?

Will most likely be out per CDS...

Possibly, or maybe they're doing surgery so it will heal

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

No way anyone plays after breaking any arm bone.

This is not a true statement.

There have been many players who have played football with a cast on their arm from a broken bone.

As long as the cast is properly padded so it can't be used as a weapon, then the player can play in a game.

Bama had a guy named Kenyan Drake who broke his arm mid-season and came back and played in the '17 NC game. He was a skill player, not defensive like Venables.

Current personal experience...

I'm not an ortho, just put a few to work. A plate is used when the break is significant and the dr doesn't think pieces will heal correctly, typically won't meet or align. It does NOT increase strength, like welding a plate, it's there to aid healing and accelerate it. I'm guessing Venables has a complete break. I'm currently 3 weeks post plate for a clavicle in 3 pieces, granted I'm not 19...I think he's looking at Spring.
