Last day of school in GVille county so surprised him and drove out to my secret spot. Days like that are priceless...

10 per license at that location. Brought the wife too (no pics) so I could keep more than 10.

Five per day per person in SC (max). Some waters

Jun 2, 2017, 11:08 PM [ in reply to So what's the daily limit on those?*** ]

Yea. We caught about 30plus. It's a stocked river of course.

I for one am glad you are stopping. You are one of the most ignorant posters ever. You obviously think very highly of your own opinion, unlike the rest of us - RockHillTiger

There's something special about taking a boy fishing .

I used to go with my dad and Pa Pa on the Savannah River too. Miss those time with my Pa Pa Trout fishing and rabbit/quail hunting with his bird dogs. He used to be the best bird Dog trainer around back in Danny Fords day...lol

If a boy is out hunting or fishing, he is not out doing

something else. Congratualtions! I took Spud Jr. 21 years ago when he was about 5. He caught a 5 lb. largemouth on ultra light tackle with 4 lb. test. WHen he finally got him in , I lipped it and said," Way to go son....that's a pig!".....Spud Jr. said," Whew, that tired me out, I don't want to do THAT again". ( I swear on Clemson's latest tombstone that is the truth).. I knew right then he was NEVER going to be a fisherman. But, he still turned out pretty good.....He's becoming a GOLFER!!! Not quite on the level of a fisherman, but not an altogether loss either....

Flatten the barb on your hook and catch and release would have taught him more...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not more just a lesson

Jun 3, 2017, 9:38 AM

As it is, he learned to catch a fish, clean a fish, season a fish, cook a fish, eat a fish, clean a kitchen, and take a nap. mans work baby!

The boy also cleaned a few and pan fried one himself.

I always catch and release bass...

Jun 3, 2017, 9:38 AM [ in reply to Re: Took my son trout fishing today... ]

DNR stocked a half million trout a year in those rivers from tax $ from fishing licenses and bait and tackle. Most don't hold over till next year anyway. So the couple times a year I go trout fishing in stocked waters, I keep my limit.
