Ticket transfer question

Jan 9, 2020, 6:13 PM

If I've already transferred tickets from CFP App to my Apple wallet, how do I transfer to someone else?I cannot transfer from the Wallet. Can I still do that in the CFP App? Will the ticket simply disappear from my wallet? Or maybe it's reissued?

I'm slowly coming around to this electronic ticket age. I had all kids of issues with ticket last year. Thankfully it was in my app on the day IPTAY issued this year.

Thanks!

you would have to recall the tickets (assuming the first person to whom the tickets were transferred hasn't accepted them) before they can be transferred to someone else.

Go to your IPTAY email where you got the notification of your tickets. It has detail instructions and is really easy. I transferred two yesterday.

Don't hold me to this, but I'm pretty sure that if all you've done is add the tickets to YOUR Apple wallet from the CFP app, that the tickets are still transferable to a third party from your CFP app. The only time that they shouldn't be transferable from your CFP app is if you have already initiated the process of transferring it to a third party.

What seems odd to me is that if someone is dishonest and adds a ticket to their Apple wallet from their CFP app, they can then transfer that ticket to a third party but it will still remain in their Apple wallet, which means that they could still use the ticket that they had transferred to someone else, as long as they got to the stadium before the other person. (At least that's what it looks like to me...)

Transferring changes the scan code.

Your original in your wallet won’t scan at the gate anymore.

Thanks everyone. Tickets are for my use but need to transfer one to someone going with me. I couldn’t do that from Apple Wallet and was concerned about doing so from CFP App after already adding to wallet. Sounds like I can transfer from app and wallet ticket will be voided.
