My thought on the helmet sticker.

Sep 13, 2020, 8:46 PM

I’m gonna only comment on this issue one time then I’m done with it. Yesterday I was disappointed when Clemson appeared to be supporting BLM terrorist group. I was shocked that Dabo out of all people would support it. But then I thought about it really hard. And there 4 stickers Love Equality and the fist with BLM and a heart with BLM. Seems to me the players had a choice as to what they wanted on there helmets. And Dabo is supportive of his young men regardless of what they chose to believe and support. So thinking about that I can live with that. Dabo is allowing his players to support what they believe and is supportive of his young men. Dabo a good person and coach and I think he is doing the right thing. I’m glad the players isn’t forced to have a BLM sticker. I’m glad they have a choice. I do not support BLM but I’m not gonna hate on the people that do as long as they are not supportive of the violence looting and yelling Defund police. And I don’t think anyone on Clemson team supports any of that. That’s all I have to say on the issue I’m excited about the next 10 plus games. And will be a Clemson fan forever!

I took a break from Tigernet. As much as I enjoy talking about and discussing football. The immaturity here on tigernet reeks. People are very judgmental and want to call people coots when there not coots. They share the same interests as everyone else on here. That interest we all share here is our love for Clemson sports. I love Clemson football baseball basketball etc. And I enjoy discussing it with those willing to discuss it in a mature way.

I agree that our constitution says all are created equal, but we have not accomplished that loafty goal. It is ludicrous to label all the demonstrators as terrorist. The FBI rates the white supremacy group as one of the most dangerous movements in the nation..Try to imagine that you and your ancestors had lived for 400 years under conditions that blacks have faced and say things don’t need to change. Would you remain peaceful?

for Dabo. No win situation. If he tried to ignore it or quell it, then he would be crucified by the media and "woke" culture.

I think by giving the options of the 4 stickers, then he allowed the individuals to express their opinion.

I don't support BLM.

Jesus said "love one another".

America believes All are created equal. If you believe differently, then you are not a good American.

Yeah I think there were ways to support the underlying racial injustice theme with out supporting an organization I think is using race to undermine against America.

Very good post that was either not read or completely misunderstood. If as a coach, Dabo did not support his players, he would not have the respect that he has. As a Christian, I do not understand or accept BLM because ALL LIVES MATTER. What I do support is the right of all people to be treated fairly and sadly, I see less chance every day of that happening in this nation. We are a divided people and I fear what will happen after the election. This is a sports site and questioning or griping about stickers on helmets or controversial issues does not get anyone anywhere. Clemson wants players with great character, great intelligence and hopefully great talent and just like Dabo, we should all be proud of our players.

Well you're gonna continue to be disappointed by a team that's 75% African American supporting Black Lives Matter, I'm sure they'd probably be disappointed in your support of trump. These kids are leading and using their platforms, don't like it, don't watch!

Yeah people need to realize most of these kids will vote for the politicians endorsed by the terrorist wing of BLM. The same people who are sending a big chunk of the money they are raising straight to the DNC to get politicians elected who will defund cops, not prosecute criminals and allow it to be open season on police officers. But, hey, they know how to play football so we should allow them to fundraise on Clemson's dime, even if 90% of the paying fans disagree. I mean we already know what hotbeds of free expression most college campuses are these days(not) so it's not remotely possible a bunch of teenagers have been propagandized into believing a bunch of lies is it? Guess its best for the rest of us to do whatever they say. Did I mention they can play football?

Some of the things I read on Tigernet make me wonder how some of y'all function day to day , living under the weight of fear and paranoia that you do .

I hope Covid-19 ends asap and we all get out and get a little sunshine and fresh air .

Jeesh .

So why are you telling us all of this?
Have you expressed your thoughts to Dabo,or Dan,or the University President,The Board of Regents,
maybe Trevor,or perhaps a couple of big black offensive/defensive linemen who would love to hear what you have to say.
Just wondering since none of us had any say so in what sticker was placed on whose helmet.

As for me I would love the opportunity to discuss this with Dabo, the president, the board, or as you say, big black linemen. Absolutely would welcome that opportunity. By the way, I just did something like that at another school.

First I don’t think it’s right to allow player’s or coaches to use the uniforms I helped to pay for as a political poster board. These athletes are able to play a game they love because of mine as well as others money and support to protest or use as a political platform during my time that I am paying for.

BLM is a Marxist/Communist organization and they are not denying it. And it is sad our universities and schools have become so liberal and are being used by organization’s like BLM’s organization to promote their platforms. BLM is an organization who would like to overthrow our current form of government. They are using brainwashing methods to turn most college graduates into politically uneducated liberal robots who full in with any liberal cause right or wrong.

There is a group which I researched throughly before joining and before making a contribution. It’s called Blexit. Blexit was started by Candace Owens and other great conservative Black American’s who also care about this country and relationships between all race’s. And All Lives Matter.

There are hundreds maybe thousands of YouTube post under the channel Walkaway where people of all races are leaving the liberal left and joining forces with President Trump. It’s people that finally realized they have been used for years by the Biden’s, Obama’s and Clinton’s of the Democratic Party. They want a more conservative Christian focused America.

I suggest those against BLM check out Blexit. I spoke with them before joining their organization. I am a white male excepted with open arms. We can only make America Great with the right leadership and the majority of Americans working together to make things better.

IMO the liberal left has made things seemed worse than what they were. They were waiting on an incident like George Floyd to amp up their Marxist socialist movement. It’s sad to see the NFL and other sports cave into their demands. Based on the current trend In sports these overpaid athletes maybe eventually working for $12 to $15 an hour jobs to help support their families.

I refuse to waste my time and money on a bunch of entitled whinnying millionaire’s or their owners who cave into their demands. What happened to fan’s concerns??
