Is this team the GOAT

Jan 8, 2019, 8:47 AM

Clemson squad to ever take the field? Look at this season. Every game after Syracuse, where we saw our third string Chase Brice come in and take control, was dominant, right up through last night!!!

I would say yes.

55 - 4 Record the last 4 years
2 Nattys
4 ACC Conf Championships
Worst defeat by a Bama team under Saban
116 - 29 (ACCCG, Playoff, Natty)

Total Domination! Go Tigers!

I think 2016 was just as talented. Just different pieces to the puzzle.

From a talent standpoint I will agree, but that team did not dominate opponents like this one.

2019 NC was more dominant than the 2017 NC... but the 2017 NC had a much tougher road.

The 2017 NC were a different cut. They still dominated 31-0hio state and had a slightly stronger schedule. Watson and co just played more on a dangerous edge. Lethal with risk... Lawrence and Co is lethal without and risk.

At least the 2017 NC team had legitimate challengers in conference.
#3 Lamarville
A stronger FSU team
Decent VT team in the ACCCG.

Oh and they dominated the coots 56-7

Actually it was the 2015 #2 team that might have been a good case as the best... if they won the NC they outplayed bammy but were outfoxed in their first NC game. They definitely had the best schedule/wins... just not the right ending.

But at the end, yeah, 2019 was likely the best.
