Maybe the dumbest was Ray Ray McCloud intentionally dropping a kick return at the 1 yd line so he could celebrate the return

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

"intentionally" dropping it at the one?

Nov 29, 2019, 12:45 AM

Lol!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Depends on how you read that sentence

Nov 29, 2019, 1:07 AM

I don’t think his accusation was that he intended to drop the ball before scoring the touchdown, but rather that he intentionally dropped the ball and unfortunately had not yet entered the end zone. It was an accident (clearly), but one born of him not making sure of his location before showboating.

Perhaps. I guess we'll never know for certain.***

yeah, get it , too , and I agree , . he was intentionally trying to showboat and drop it just right early, but it was an unintended outcome of an intentional act, as the law sometimes applies, lol...

Which never intentionally happened.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

well he certainly intentionally dropped the ball

Nov 29, 2019, 5:37 AM

it was not unintentional. The ball dropped on the 1 yard line.

Dabo has never had anything like that as far as I can remember . Probably never will .

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If it happens under his watch . . .

Nov 29, 2019, 12:35 AM

It will only happen once!!!

That man doesn't waiver.

seem to recall

Nov 29, 2019, 1:15 AM

Christian Wilkins getting flagged for striking a Heisman pose after a jumbo-package TD, but that was a garbage call. If something as benign as that gets a flag, surely “peeing“ in the EZ will.

Re: seem to recall

Nov 29, 2019, 3:19 AM

I was thinking there was no flag for the Heisman pose by Christian , that it was just Dabo going off on him on the sideline ( deservedly so ) .
I just don't remember a flag . Then again I don't remember much these days ;)

Re: seem to recall

CW42 definitely drew a flag, but it seemed like a borderline call since he was surrounded by his teammates celebrating the score when he did it. Dabo would probably have been fine with the pose if it hadn't drawn a flag.

I think that selfishness is part of a team culture. I noticed both teams had some kind of “turnover belt” or whatever that garbage is. Why so many teams seem to think that nonsense is “cool” is beyond me. You’re teaching these kids that “me” is more important than “team.” You reap what you sow.

What would you do if that was your player, Spud? Bud was fighting mad. Harold was “ duh. “

And the Oke Miss coach put #8 back in the game right after that on the Kick Off. Lesson learned? If I were an AD I would never hire that guy for anything.
