Hey Palmetto1 (new delusional coot poster):
1. Liberals rallying around Trump 2. Me winning the Powerball 3. Bama goes winless this season 4. Gas drops to 49 cents a gallon 5. California actually falls into the Pacific 6. Willy B makes cover of Home & Garden 7. Boom wins "Humanitarian of the Year". 8. Hillary convicted and goes to prison. 9. Another school hires Boom away from SCU. 10. George Rogers finally learns to read.

Proof is in the pudding. All Obama did for 8 years was divide the country and add 12 trillion to the deficit, but don't let facts get in the way. Anyway, election is over, stock market way up, jobs being created, ISIS being corralled, and the USA means something again, immigration finally being handled. I'll stop there and just say GO TIGERS!!!!!

"Trump's record of 863,000 jobs in five months is less than the 955,000 added during the same period a year ago."(CNN-Money) "And beyond the first couple weeks, there isn’t much evidence of a Trump effect at all. Stocks have continued rising in 2017, but at more or less the rate they rose in early 2016."(FiveThirtyEight economics). I'm guessing that you are forgetting about the 3 trillion, under-financed war debts, high unemployment, and recession that Obama inherited from Bush, and Trump inheriting a strong economy, a deficit in reduction compared to the explosion caused by Bush's last year(and Obama's attempts to fix it in his first year), but rightwingers tend to forget those FACTS! As far as the vague term "divide the country", I have no clue what that means as many times as I have heard it, no one seems to explain it. ISIS was created by Bush II's stupid under-estimation of the Muslim states in 2003 and is far from corralled, it is maybe more dangerous now than ever because they have given up ground fighting as an army and will probably return to terrorism and insurgency as their main weapons. We may agree on the Tigers, but we will continue to disagree on Trump but I still love you my Tiger Brother!

LOL CNN. No credibility there. It's kind of like election night when every left wing liberal newspaper was already crowning Hillary president. Dividing the country is not a vague term. Obama promised to work across the aisle, and all he did was divide it further, taking the government into his own hands and making decisions based on HIS priorities, not the country's best interest. In any case, we can agree the Tigers are number one in our hearts.

over it. Besides, it's not that much of a difference - nothing to get upset about. We'd be wise to pay attention to these sorts of things as we go forward so we can hold people accountable.

1. Obama does something about Russia hacking in the election.
2. The truth comes out of Hillary's or Obama's mouths.
3. I'll understand why government employees need to have a union. They are not coal mining.

Not sure I've ever seen an intentional walk with the bases loaded. Guess it's possible.

Here's why we need to sh!t-can the political debates-
Liberal and Conservative brains don't work the same way.
And it's not about intelligence, though people with post-graduate degrees (presumably the brightest among us)tend to be Democrats by a pretty wide margin- 57% to 35% (Pew poll Apr. 2015). It's about how we process information (or disinformation).
Here is an excerpt from something I wrote on FB.
John Hibbing of University of Nebraska (should you wish to fact-check me) has shown conservatives react more strongly to negative images and liberals more strongly to positive images.
He shows his subjects a series of pictures, some positive like a puppy and some negative like a grizzly bear. He then measures things like pupil dilatation, sweat glands opening and isolates brain patterns. Conservative and liberal brains light up differently to the same stimuli.
In another part of the experiment, he shows both groups a large stack of photos. He later shows them a different group of photos but some are repeats from the first group. He asks them to identify which photos were repeated. Though neither group gets them all right, both groups remember about the same number of repeats- the difference is that conservatives remember more of the negative repeats and liberals remember more of the positive repeats.
The point is that Professor Hibbing says that he can show anyone a picture of a snarling grizzly and “it’s pretty easy to predict who is a liberal and who is a conservative just by looking at their brain activation patterns.”
The difference is hope and fear. Hope, though it was not realized, elected Obama. The false fear (they play you guys like a Stradivarius)that he was coming for your guns led you to stampede your local arsenals.
We're never going to agree. We aren't designed to agree. So just stop.
