Who remembers this day?

Very well.

Oct 24, 2013, 7:13 AM

I'd have to agree with what Coach Ford said on the field about this.

He put it very eloquently as I recall***

There were actually two blown calls on that play....

Oct 24, 2013, 8:13 AM

Obvious movement by the Maryland OL and the play clock expired both of which were completely ignored by the officials.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Don't forget about the catch that wasn't a catch. The TE did NOT have the ball long enough for it to count as a completed pass, so there were actually 3 mistakes made by the officials on that one play...unacceptable.

You are correct. Three blown calls.

Oct 24, 2013, 8:46 AM

I was at the game. The left tackle moved, the clock expired, and there was no catch. ACC officials at their finest!!

Does anyone remember the week before? The refs ruled a UNC catch that was not a catch that set up the winning TD.

I despise ACC officials and the Swofford troll that protects them.

Uggghhhh... thanks for stirring up that retched memory ;)***

I was there and had never seen Danny that mad before.

Oct 24, 2013, 8:39 AM

I was in high school at the time. A few years later while at school I worked with the Athletic Dept grounds crew for a part time job. Some of the players also spent some time with us working for extra spending money. They said that Danny was intense and would explode at times. I always thought that he was so mild mannered up `to that point, but that was before "All Access" reporting, Internet, Etc.
