no faith in our main stream media - just watch one of these press conferences with the Coronavirus Task Force. These reporters must be the dumbest group of people in DC - and that is saying something in a town full of politicians.
For example, they asked the President no less than 5 times in today's press conference why he calls this the "Chinese Virus". Really?? The President has answered this question multiple times already but you keep asking as if you expect a different answer. At this point, with the country slowly getting locked down and infections going up - do you really think the American people give a rats a.s.s. that the President calls it the "Chinese Virus"? Don't you think the American people would rather you spend your time asking about what is being done to stop the Chinese Virus and what resources are coming to help those in need?
Holy cow these reporters are out of touch with the average Joe. I don't care if the President or anyone else calls it the Chinese Virus, the Wuhan Virus, the Kung Flu, or Lung Pao Sicken - just ask relevant questions that actually inform us on how we are combating this thing and what is being done to help our friends and neighbors survive both physically and economically as we go forward.

They arent too bright but its also an attempt to catch an inconsistency and do gotcha journalism. they are more interested in stirring junk up and being the story rather than reporting anything. I think they can go to a virtual news conf w presubmitted questions from the media to cover more ground

Yesterday, or today, TheRump said he knew that COVID-19 would be a worldwide pandemic in December. Okay, why was he down-playing the potential severity until March 16?? His outrageous lies are astounding -- but that anyone gives him a "pass" for his lies and his "inaction" is flabbergasting. His supporters are sucked into his cult. What good would it do to to cause panic if nothing could be done? Also, pandemic does not equal massive die off. It only means "new". In the end this will be much Ado about nothing. It won't kill half of a common flu season. You share the same mindset as the media.

In the last presser I watched (Monday?) one reporter actually asked why older people were more vulnerable to the virus. The dr who answered essentially said, "Because they're older."
They're not terribly bright and I don't know that any of them know anymore what "journalism" is. They're just out there to promote their particular narrative.
And the assumption that all the media except Fox News is neutral is the most naive thing I've ever heard. They ALL have an agenda now. The likely all did before, but now they all wear it with pride so you can pick and choose which angle you want your spin to be.

By calling it the China virus, you are allowing stupid racist people in this country to associate all Asians with having a part in the virus. You don't think that happens but it does.
Trump has to create a racial tone to the issue instead of just calling it what it is medically called.
Trump is by far the dumbest president this country has ever had. It is extremely scary. These types of situations show how poor his leadership is. States had to act way before the federal government knew what to do. Literally over a week ago he was saying this was a non issue and was being drive by the left.
He disregarded doctors and professionals who KNEW this was going to happen. Does social media make the situation worse, absolutely. But Trump continues to exemplify how unfit he is for this position. And unfortunately this will not be the last time he proves it.
