The older I get the longer the red lights

The longer the freight trains, the slower the drivers in front of me get, and the less intelligent the guy in the checkout line is. Got in a line in Walmart today b/c only 2 people were there with just a few items each. Should’ve taken the clue that the 2nd guy’s Gamecock face mask meant trouble- First thing was he had his items in his arms the whole time- waited until the person ahead of him left & put them down one at a time so the cashier had to wait on them . Then he tried to buy a gift card with a gift card which made the cashier have to cancel the transaction and ring up the new gift card separately after he used the active card to buy the other things. Then he asked the person if they could tell him how much money was still on the card that had started out with $42.53 which further confused the cashier for even longer- and yes- I did hear him say the total on the 1st card so many times that I won’t forget it for a long while

did you consider that the cashier might have been a usuc grad(math major)as well?if so,then the transaction was probably quite a challenge.

Clover ------ You have now learned that not all battles are fought in a war zone and war zones now occur in our streets and stores.

Our only choice of weapons is patience which I seem to be running low on in these Covid times

I have no patience with poor service and don't hesitate to offer constructive criticism. When I hear the excuse, "We are very busy," my response is, "Slow people are always busy." I also compliment good service.

My favorite is (when you ask a clerk for something and they can't find it)...
"You can check on our website..."
I don't want to check on your website. That's why I came to your store. If you're going to be Amazon, close your store!

Lol - I’m not sure which is worse though, the “too nice” guys you describe or the ones that always think they have the right of way at those stops even though they are clearly 3rd in sequence and haven’t even gotten to the stop sign yet!

Think of how stupid the average person is, then realize that about half of the population is even further below that level of stupidity.

I think iodized salt must be in short supply. I remember my Dad saying, "Always assume incompetence from others and you won't be disappointed." Unfortunately he was correct.
