I didn't look at the death numbers, but the conclusion is consistent with the plot of the Biden death count I am tracking. A slight uptick.
The lack of attention, acknowledgment, understanding, etc. is why I throw up every time I hear a liberal say "follow the science."
Okay, actually just looked at daily figures, and there's a huge spike today (data from yesterday). Besides that, it was sort of trending down for at least a week.

You reactionaries, who were all clamoring to reopen the economy - for all kinds of reasons, are now all wailing about it as being bad. I'm not sure if the better term is ironic - or hypocritical. But either way it blows.
I will go on the record as saying that this various reopening moves as premature. I was talking to my nephew, who is a doctor, and he thinks that the most critical aspect of virus control right now is rapid, rapid dissemination of the vaccines. The best way to negate these various strains is to get everyone vaccinated as quickly as possible. I hope that the Biden administration can overcome the mess that they were left by Trump.
He also said that these re-openings put ever-increasing pressure on this vaccine rollout. It seems that just when we have the end in sight, we are going to screw it up and push normalcy away by reaching for it too soon.

Trump did NOT have a plan !
Trump's refusal to be a reasonable adult and help with the transition (like EVERY other President ever) kept Biden from being able to know what was going on with distribution and dovetailing his effort into existing efforts.
I am not saying the Biden administration is not growingly responsible for the effort going forward, but many of us warned about the negative effects that might arise from Trump's selfish refusal to help with the peaceful transfer of power. This is but one example of how that works.
