Love the Varsity, I’ve eaten there four times in the last two months and I live in Mississippi. The Beacon wasn’t that good last time I went.

We stopped at The Beacon on the way to pick apples and could not finish the meal. Way too greasy for me.

been a couple of times. A number of Atlanta residents have some weird "when I was a kid" fascination with this place. I don't get it. Bad food compared with other places like Shake Shack, Five Guys.

I love the Varsity but know it's not too healthy so don't eat there too often.
What I don't like is how much the prices have gone up over the years!
Some of you kill me - you act like the Varsity is supposed to be some fine eating establishment. All it's ever meant to be is a greasy spoon - no more, no less.
I love their hot dogs but my favorites are from Skin's in the Clemson-Greenville-Anderson area.

Just like the beacon. The flavor isn't there, the size of the burgers at the Varsity are ridiculously small, and the booths are even smaller.
The same can be said for The Beacon.

I ate at The Beacon last year after being out of state for so many years, and wow - that was the worst food I've tried to eat in 20 years. No thanks. I'll never go back there, and it's only 20 minutes away.
Haven't been to The Varsity in about 60 years, so no comment.

The Beacon should be shut down!!! In Spartanburg you go to Wades!!! Have always found The Varsity to be MUCH better the The Beacon.
