I’m a long time Dolphin sufferer myself.
Another forgotten name.... Dave Wannstedt.
Though I do think Dave brought us a division title when he was running Ricky Williams into the ground.
I just hope Tua is the real deal.

Don't get me started on Tua. The Dolphins have known for a while that they needed a qb...not just a qb, but a franchise type qb. Haven't seen one since Dan "the man" Marino retired down in Miami. The best the front office could do is Tua? That chimp has only completed 2 passes that were thrown over 20 yards in the air . He ranks well below average in yards per pass, down in the mid 40's. That's including backups around the league.
Oh the Miami fans are blinded by his 6 td to 0 int and 3-1 record. Though he has only led 3 drives that started inside Dolphins territory for touchdowns. Those were against the Arizona Cardinals in the second half I'm which their fast paced offense wore out even their own defense.
I don't like Tua,thought he was no better than a left handed version of Trent Dilfer before drafted and be has lived up to that game manager hype. Miami will never be able to count on him to carry that team
He isn't that kind of qb. He is hell on short and quick timing routes. I will give him his due there. He is lethal. But he can't make the throws to push the ball down feild. He might not have any INTs yet, buthesire has had about 4 to 5 defenders drop balls that hit them square in the hands. That's why they play D bruh?
Those "so-called" Miami fans on youtube who are Bama fans to say that Tua will make all is Miami fans forget that Marino ever played because he has Steve young's legs, Elways arm, Manning's accurrracy with Marino's release. That was all I need to hear to drop my sub to that channel. Morons.

I also am a lifelong Dolphins fan, but can’t for the life of me remember a Dave Wannstedt” as head coach. I do remember a Dave Pornstache.

I just hope TL finds a way to not end up on the Jets - that they trade #1 for a bunch of draft picks that they need.

I have been a Dolphins fan since their first game as an expansion franchise. I agree with trading Tua and 2 first round draft picks for Trevor. If this happened I could believe in the Dolphins again. But its been so long since I thought they could win a division that I forgot what that's like.
I'd have to find my teal and orange jersey with (Bob) Greise's name on it, but that was 3 sizes ago. Can't you see it a sixty something year old man with a skin tight, faded, hole ridden jersey on.

Never trade the house to move up like that. Have you forgotten the Dion Jordan pick already? A more realistic draft expectation is we get Travis. This RB experiment we're running isn't working out, and the MIA 1st round pick should be right around where he'll go.
The Jets unfortunately aren't going to pass on a generational talent, and we need those picks. Have you seen how competitive we've been this year, despite still being in the rebuild? One more year of high draft picks and we're going to be set up pretty darn well. We're still in the bottom half of pass and run blocking win-rates; get us Travis and another O-lineman or two and Tua will actually have a run game to work with. He was very hurt and hadn't played football for a while; give him more time to get acclimated. Keep in mind how short-handed we are at receiver too: two of our top 4 guys opted out before the season and all the experts have WR pegged as our biggest need.

I hear what you are saying. All good points. I guess I’m wanting my cake eating it too. Jets would be crazy to pass on Trevor. Love to see him in orange (and teal) for the next 15 years. ETN is a more realistic possibility. That would not disappoint.

Jets already have 2 first round picks and 5 in the first 3 rounds. I was hoping too they would look to trade, but with that many picks, I just don't see them passing up on Trevor. They're not known for making good decisions though, so who knows
