That’s the least we could do after the grounds crew provided the team with a free shower....

Isn’t that just the way it should be? The fact that the grounds crew made a point to say thank you tells me that other programs don’t act that way. So very sad. Remember the classless way the LSU players reacted after winning the title last year? There’s a reason our program is elite and this is just one of the many reasons

Not trying to compare programs here but Coach Wooden insisted players clean up after themselves at home and on the road.

our coach would always check after the games, and for every piece of trash he found in the dugout would mean a lap. so needless to say we made sure that dugout was spotless. never worked though. im pretty sure he would plant evidence against us lol

One of Coach Sweeney's earliest and oft-repeated charges to his team is that : "Nobody cleans up after Clemson!" Has served him and his athletes well. Legendary stories of Team Captains cleaning up after going to movie theaters and such. A culture of respect and decency that few programs have and part of why there is "something special in these Hills! GO TIGERS!

Thanks for the shout-out, VA Tech!! And thanks to the Clemson coaching staff for recruiting players with manners and character, and continuing to instill those qualities in them during their college career.

The equipment staff cleans up the lockeroom after each game

Most schools will not do that

That thank you says so much about the Clemson program. It is about something much larger than wins and losses. The program is taking adolescents and making them into responsible adults within the context of education and athletics and ever-broadening life experiences. That very classy Virginia Tech note of appreciation has greater longterm meaning to me, as it would to parents of the players and of prospective recruits, than does the score of the game.

The managers and trainers clean it up. The players actually leave it kind of messy

You are right, but still cool to see and I doubt our guys wreck shop like either of our FL teams typically do.

They should spill the dirt on which ACC teams leave it in a mess. Probably FSU quits before it's cleaned up. Would imagine that bunch from Raleigh does too.

After this public comment from the VT folks about how well Clemson left their locker room, Dabo will have mops and mop buckets added to the equipment list from here on out. Comments like the one VT folks gave our FB team don't come along often, and Dabo will assure more schools will take notice how well our team leaves their locker rooms!!!

No surprise there; one of many reason's Clemson is correctly considered a c class act. Kudos to the VT ground crew for their acknowledgment.

Please do not invite people from my office to your facilities. You will be very discouraged. Even our cleaning service doesn't clean up anything but trash and a swift mop to the bathroom floors.
