So they're going to play about seven games counting their championship and say they should be in the playoffs? Get real.

They still won’t make the playoffs, don’t worry

Clemson. Alabama, OSU, Oklahoma.

Knowing the Pac12, they’ll have a couple of 5-2 teams

I agree these will probably be the best teams but you know the SEC will be crying for 2 or maybe even 3 spots.

Only chance a Pac 12 team makes the CFP is if Oregon runs the table impressively and a one-loss team emerges from the B1G that is NOT Ohio State. Problem is, some key Oregon players have opted out.

Bottom line is down't sweat the Pac 12 having a playoff team.

Maybe their opting out was just the same kind of empty attention-seeking virtue-signaling as the bucknuts players’.

I don't see it as empty. They just made it clear they had no interest a spring season.

Discounting any cancellation ACC champ will play 12, SEC and BIG 12 play 11? Little 10 wants in at 9 games? 7 is a massive push. They shouldn't be in period that's crazy. That is an insane advanced covid or not. Who do they even have that is seriously competing for a natty anyway?

Seriously, ACC, SEC, BIG 12, and even little 10 should be pushing back against this. PAC 12 should have absolutely no shot at the CFP with 7 games. Even at 12 games who do they have that could have a chance at the playoffs? Its an absolute scam to even consider them having a shot. Somebody is going to get screwed over because of them.

Clemson doesn't care about basketball....as evidenced by Brown-L getting 14 years.

If 7 games qualify for CFP, why would anyone play a make-up game as long as they get to 7 total games? Will a 7 - 0 PAC12 Champion make the CFP ahead of a 10 - 1 ND or 9 - 1 Bama?

If past performance is indicative of future success, the PAC-12 will be watching the CFP in their pj’s. They could play every weekend until next football season and not qualify.

That statement could have been a lot simpler with, “Because every other FBS conference is playing football, the PAC-12 has decided to play football.”

What a joke! There won’t be 7 “meaningful” & “high-level” games played within the conference over the entire season....??

ha- don't know why they are bothering at that point. I guess they will get some TV revenue and have a shot at any bowls that are actually held. It would take chaos like we have never seen to even get them in the playoff conversation so I wouldn't sweat that. With continued and likely worsening game changes they will be luck to get 6 games in, the big 10 is only slightly better. I do wish we were not open this week because getting another game in now would be a plus to helping us get at least 10 in. Obviously we need to just take care of business but the one game we NEED badly is in South Bend, so let's hope that one goes off as planned!
