TJ Chase in Transfer Portal

I’ve been hearing late this evening that TJ Chase has entered the transfer portal and will graduate this May and then Transfer. Has anybody else heard anything?

All those that transferred the past year to 2 years lost a ring. Why would anyone else want to make that mistake, especially when the Tigers play all who deserve it?

This is the first I have heard about that.. But honestly it does make sense.. TJ is a very good receiver, but that is one position where we are elite across the board.. If he wants a starting spot his best bet may be to transfer.. But he will always be a Tiger!!

I’ll believe it when I see it, he’s going to be in the thick of playing and will be a good NFL WR if he hangs in there, why would he want to go elsewhere....lol

I agree bc, by now the NFL scouts know that when looking for a receiver for their teams that they are scouting for, look at the list of receivers at Clemson first!!!

There is too much talent on the team for TJ to play very much. IMO he sticks to special teams.

Why would he want to go elsewhere?
Ummmmm..... to play! In 2 seasons he has 18 catches. He’s not moving up the depth chart so the better question is why wouldn’t he want to go elsewhere? He’s too good to hardly play and there’s just too much talent ahead of him. Nothing wrong with him graduating and trying to find a school where he can start and use his talent.

On the depth chart and still got meaningful snaps. The coaches obviously like him. The qbs looked for him when he was on the field. The team needs a guy like him at that WR position. I expect he will at worst be splitting time with someone else this fall. The question will be -do they move someone else to that position? Powell to compete there? Maybe Kendrick but think they leave him where he is. Spector will be FR. There’s a good chance T.J. comes out of Spring a starter so doubt he transfers.

We've put a ton of receivers in the NFL, but how many of those guys barely played during their time here?

He certainly hasn't shown that kind of ability.
It makes perfect sense for him to transfer as it is probably his only shot to show that he has that kind of ability with Ngata, Ladson and Spector coming in and ready to play.
