TJ Chase - Possibility of moving to D / Secondary?

Question for those that follow the recruits a little more than I do...

Do you think there is a chance Chase moves to the defense? I ask based from this article: http://www.tigernet.com/story/football/Wide-Receiver-U-Clemson-added-star-power-2016-recruiting-14578?ref=related

"savvy instinctive player that plays a lot of defense as well".

I'm wondering with some possible holes / depth concerns in the secondary, would TJ be considered a candidate to move to Safety or CB?

No. A receiver can become a defender in a heartbeat

While we're at it, let's move Ray Ray McCloud and Hunter Renfrow to the secondary too. After all, Ray Ray did have a couple of fumbles in the spring and Hunter dropped some gimmes in the spring game.

And these WR battles will have to play out in practice, in the film room, in the weight room and in the games. Some all-everything high school WR's will become 1st Team All-ACC All-American players, and some will rarely see the field. A few may struggle in the classroom, and a few could have discipline issues. Possibilities abound. Some will transfer for more P.T.

And one thing is for certain. They cannot all play WR at the same time. And more WR stars are arriving every year. So some may move to CB or S if they want to get in the games. And it worked out very profitably for TJ Green who is faster them all of them. But the competition process at WR will have to play out first. Embarrassment of riches ... Go Tigers!

Rumor today in Florida is Chase has not passed the Florida FCAT ( state mandated standardized test required for graduation) at plant city high school. Not sure what happens if he does not pass it. He has until next Tuesday.
