Players have to make plays. Poorly executed game...
Same reason #2 seed has knocked us out of our regional past two years. And no.. I’m not bitter. Just disappointed seeing The same thing out of this baseball team

I watched the game and from what I saw we left to many on base during late innings! We certainly DID NOT lack for effort!! The ump was not perfect, but we did not get blown out. There is no shame in a tough one run loss.

That is a load of bull!!! Cromwell made amazing play after amazing play. Gilliam was throwing around 93 after 50 some odd pitches. Beer showed frustration after popping out. The list goes on and on and on. If you can't see that we played with effort then your either blind or stupid. This loss has made us angry. We'll be ready for the regionals. Omaha here we come!!!

Do us all a favor and don’t watch! If you can’t see the biased strike zone, the incompetent and inconsistent calls and the fact that Martin’s tactics stall and change the pace of the game... then we are not seeing the same game!

Losing by a run to a really good FSU team is not that disappointing. It would be nice to win the ACC but we have bigger fish to fry. We are going to be a national seed and it all starts with regionals. We need to score runners when we get the chance and be more clutch on D but we have been playing great ball. Losing by 1 to a good team does not mean we gave poor effort or didn't play well. They got clutch hit and we didn't. It was a great game. We had chances as did they. They just made one more play.

It's baseball, it happens. The best MLB teams every year lose 60+ games a year.

Obviously the OP has never played baseball in his life. I’ve been critical of a few players and games with this team but last nIgor they played a good ball game. Nothing more than 2 very good teams going at it and unfortunately we couldn’t get a big 2 out hit. Other then that great game between likely 2 Omaha teams.
