Strength of Schedule to Date

Ohio State - 9th (which I don't get because they've played no one) Chickens - 11th (it may get harder, but right now its not #1) Clemson - 38th (not great but respectable - Strength of Record is 4th) Alabama - 51st (51st happens when Duke is your signature win. One has to wonder what happens to TUA's numbers when they start playing real competition. Strength of Record is 3rd but SOR is calculated using margin of victory) UVA - 54th (Right there with Bama.) UGA - 70th (Yup 70th. And that includes a quality ND game)
Duke - 77th Wake - 81st LSU - 100th (That includes a quality win over Texas...but gee that Joe Burrow is a Heisman candidate right?)

Are those SOS numbers using Sagarin or what source?

I think I saw where Clemson is the only school that is 4-0 against P5 schools, I'm not sure if that's accurate or not.

Clemson is one of four schools to have played 4 power 5 schools in the first 5 weeks.
Clemson (5-0) Stanford (2-3) USuCk (2-3) UNCheat (2-3)
The numbers in the original post are from Sagarin it seems.

excellent info / point. It was true last year as well. People want to talk SoS without actually pulling up the stats. Nothing is less important than the score at halftime, Paul Fine-balm's opinion and mid season prognostications

Ohio Syate at 9th is ridiculous. The first 4 teams they played had only 1 4 star recruit out of high school and he is a TE .

Ohio State has played....
FAU, Cincy, Indiana, Miami OH, and Nebraska. That's 9th? I'd like to see how they calculate this

They play tough teams WEEK IN and WEEK OUT.
They don't play nancy schools like UNC (who LOST to App st for crying out loud).
Signed, Ohio St fan at my work.
...
However, UNC's 2 losses are from UNDEFEATED TEAMS for goodness sakes. And they could have won both of them.
Gah the hypocrisy runs so deep.

Agree. While those teams don't look great, their records are all pretty fair: not great but respectable.

Which SOS ranking are you using? I'm looking at the Sagarin rakings which has the following:
Clemson 32 Ohio state 22 South Carolina 8 Alabama 46 UGA 70 LSU 95 Stanford 1

It also had A&M at 60 which is surprising considering they've played Clemson and Auburn. I guess the Texas State, Lamar, and Arkansas games are hurting them, but I'm still surprised to see it down to 60.

Some teams have looked better vs their weak schedule than we have. I think if we looked great vs an ever weaker schedule there would be no issue. The schedule is not the real issue.

The Tigers pretty much mauled their first four opponents. The only close game was the last one. And with all the substitutions Dabo does, the team should be getting stronger relative to many opponents, who don't have the same depth. We shall find out soon enough against the Semiholes.
