I have noticed over the last two seasons, that sometimes Dabo will let a guy play based on who is in front of them not necessarily how many people. Think about it Steward is backing up two seniors at his position. Instead of red-shirting him and putting him on the scout team he will be preparing each week for the game. I think Dabo is making this move to prepare him to start next season instead of simply doing it to add depth this year.

It'll be his position next year anyway so it's better to give him some real game experience for next year.

NFL teams will want to see consistency and improved health especially after tearing both ACLs. We'll have him as a senior

still a stupid decision if he doesn't get 12-15 snaps on DEFENSE each game. ST do not justify using a year of eligibility.

IMHO this is a very bad decision!!he certainly will be WASTED just no special teams.. he sure could be ready to start for 3 years if he was not WASTED this year!the onlt thing that comes to mind is that Dabo is fulfilling a recruiting promise???????

The problem is that you are assuming he will be here for 3 years. Also, how many practices have you seen? How much practice film have you seen? Are you a coach at Clemson? The answers are none, none & no. You have a right to your opinion, but the coaches are in a much better position to make a correct decision than anyone on Tigernet.

Just cuz he's #3 guy against auburn doesn't mean he'll be #3 guy against NCSU and USC... got a long season ahead. He has time to prove something, give him a chance.

I see Shuey or Goodson beating him out simply becuase their better athletes. Corico is usually in position but he really takes advantage of them. Too man games last year showed this fact.

I think the thing here is, is that Dabo feels by end of year Steward will be 2nd...feels he just has too much ability and is athletically superior to willard and wright and its only a matter of time for him to be on the field. the only thing holding steward back is the knowledge of the defense so I feel by October he will be threatening to see the field alot more than just special teams.
