So what's the stance on Nolan Turner getting ejected??

I do not think he intentionally did what he did, but there's no doubt that he was guilty of the targeting call & the rules are clear on the penalty. The possible debate is whether he should have even been in the game at that point (as well as several others).
SO, is TigerNation going to give Turner a 'pass' or hold a grudge for him screwing his teammates and being suspended for the first half?

I believe Coach Dabo said it was the right call in his post game interview.

When I read this post, I thought Forstvwas saying that a post like this just has to be made on TNET, then I realized that he wasn’t sure why it was necessary.
I think both are true and the conclusion is still the same.
Someone just had to say it, ... because TNET.
Just move on. Don’t feed the animals.

Go away!

It’s punishment enough. Those are his brothers. He’s bled, sweat, and cried with them. He’s won and lost with them. Anything you could do to throw shade his way will fall short of how terrible he already feels for making a mistake. It wasn’t done with malicious intent.

It was pretty obvious it was not his intent to head hunt. His posture was already into the hit as the ball carrier lowered his head. A timing thing as someone else said.

My inside sources report Nolan is against the ejection ...

Rumor is Dabo may have him in a different jersey number and blonde wig on 1/01. I mean rumor is #37 Jake Herbstreit may get some p.t. in the 1st half vs Bucknuts.

1. It is a stupid rule that needs to be revised. It is physically impossible to lower you shoulder without also lowering your helmet.
2. But, the rule was correctly applied. According to the rule, it was targeting.

Well, I understand and support the reasons for the rule. But in application, it is extremely arbitrary. There was absolutely no way Turner's hit was targeting if the Bee Bee head's blind side ambush was not, but of course the announcers could do nothing other than support the refs' decision in the latter. If they ever start calling every helmit involved hit as targeting they'll get players to pay attention, but they are no where near consistent. But Turner got away with one that was closer two weeks ago. He should have been at the least more careful. Bad situation all around. Unfortunately, the coaches have been coaching it, and it needs to stop. It is not good for anyone to have helmit to helmit hits.

Yeah, he should not have lowered his shoulders and helmet. He should have just applied a knee to the ribs. Teach Mui Tai to our backs.
