But, since those tests were the Monday after the protest, it is unlikely that spike was from the march. Likely exposed before.

although only an idiot would think that none of the people that would have died from the flu this year died from COVID (i.e. that ALL the COVID deaths are additional deaths), the data shows a higher than normal death rate overall in the US from all causes. This is from the CDC however, so it may be completely wrong.

You can see that higher than normal deaths sometimes occur without COVID and for this year that is also true, making the excess hump even bigger in 2020. (You can select Excess deaths with and without COVID-19 and update the Dashboard to see the difference).

Are you commenting from personal experience? I work in long-term care and can speak factually as to what occurs during an outbreak. If someone has 20 diagnosis codes to their name and 1 is covid then the cause of death is covid.

Even though this is the 1000th post ridiculing those who refuse to wear masks, I bet this 1001st is going to do the trick. Why can’t we learn that you rarely change people’s minds by berating them. It surely would be nice is we could just let it go and focus on Clemson football. But then, I am naive like that. Go Tigers!
