Shameless plug for readers maybe looking for a book

I am a 1990 Clemson grad. I have two brothers. One played golf for Larry Penley in the 80s, on Larry's first teams, then scuffled around on the mini tours for a few years before facing reality and getting a real job. The other went to Princeton, and at least got to practice with Pete Carril’s basketball teams.
The Princeton brother wrote a novel loosely based on the Clemson brother’s struggles to succeed in pro golf. The novel is almost entirely in South Carolina, and most of it in Charleston. Many of the characters and places described are actual people and places that have played a role in our lives.
You don’t necessarily have to be a golfer to enjoy it...the novel is more of a character study than a “golf book”.
The novel is called “Spikes”, and the author is Michael Griffith. It was recently released by Dzanc books as an e-book, and there may still be copies available on Amazon. Michael released two other novels, too, “Bibliophilia” and “Trophy”.
Michael is now a tenured English professor at Cincinnati, and one of the biggest Clemson fans (especially basketball...drove all the way from Princeton for a few home games) you will ever meet.
