See the guarding of Scroll of Honor

Nov 27, 2020, 10:58 PM

What a tribute and experience to view the guarding of the Scroll of Honor located right behind the rock and hill. Saw it tonight and the ROTC will do it until kickoff. They change guards every hour and it’s at 30 minutes due to kickoff time so 9:30, 10:30 etc. So proud of these guys paying tribute to the 493 I believe Clemson grads that gave their lives in service to our country. Process similar to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. See it anytime before 3:30 pm kickoff. Don’t miss this wonderful tribute and event for Military Appreciation Week!! Thank you Clemson. This will also be the location for the halftime tribute since NCAA does not allow it in the stadium but it will be shown on screens.

This is why I hate to see people climbing all over the two tigers in front for photo ops. They are supposed to be perpetual honor guards for the scroll. Kind of disrespectful to do that in my opinion.

Thank you for posting.

Every millennial and Z generation need to be forced to watch the Ken Burn series on war II.

Then they would know what the definition of hero means and just might stand a little higher when the National Athem is played.
