A cold front rolled through at half. Everybody was in shorts and shirtsleeves and the temp dropped 30 degrees with whipping wind.
I chattered through the rest of the game. Temp-wise it wasn't that cold, but for how we were dressed and acclimated, we all froze.

to come back to the punter. Almost all the game was played on my end of the field because they couln't kick it to midfield. I was at most of the games mentioned here, including the Panthers-49ers and nothing matched this game for cold, wet, and wind.

Definitely. My roommate from Clemson (class of 68) and I went to game. He spent the next week in bed with cold.
Also at North Carolina in 1991 (I think). Same weather conditions.

I was in the pressbox for that game(not heated and very drafty at the time)and when I went to the toilet at half-time the water in the bowl was iced over.

came home with a red, wind-whipped face, and caught a cold as a result. He said it was miserably cold. Although he gave me these black panther gloves that he bought at the game and I had those for years.

Not sure what the temp was, but I was freezing. The kids were freezing. The wind was brutal. I was 7 months pregnant and had to carry my then 3 year old daughter back to the tailgate while shuffling my 5 year old son along. When we got back to DKS, my tent was in the pond  ... so I had to go and get it. Brrrr!

being very cold, if I have the year right, I believe that was the one we lost on Padgett missing the fieldgoal.
But, I believe the Clemson vs. South Carolina with The Catch 2 was colder and the coldest I remember.

This particular game was not in DV, but it was when Clemson played in the Peach Bowl against Baylor. I believe it was in either 1978 or 1979. It dropped 40 degrees during the game and no one was prepared.I have never been so cold in my life. To top it off, we lost!

The weather became worse as the game progressed in the Peach Bowl, and maybe because we were losing. What I remember about this game is moving from 30yard line seats which were in the open to endzone seats on the upper level where there was some cover.
However, I still think the 1972 South Carolina game in DV was the coldest I've been at a game. I think the weather improved a smidgen in the third quarter only to worsen in the fourth.

The Year was 2013, I had just traveled from some distant land in the Middle East back to the United States. I had arrived just in time to travel to Death Valley to watch Clemson play GT. Ah yes, I remember it like it was yesterday. The date was Thursday, November 14th, 2013. A game in which the Clemson Tigers dominated and won 55-31. As soon as I landed, I had just enough time to link up with a friend and head in to Clemson from Greenville. What I didn't have time to do was, laundry.
So there I was rolling around in jeans that didn't quite fit me all that well anymore, and with no undershorts on top of that. The jeans I wore that night were kind of old and worn down so the inevitable took place. I went to sit down on the cold metal bleachers and... "rriiiipp"... That's right folks, my trousers had an emergency on their hands. What made matters worse was that my dingle dongles were now resting miserably on the icy cold aluminum bleachers. The people behind me kept on wondering why I wasn't cheering to which my friend replied, "he isn't feeling so well". I had to wait until half-time to go to buy something to wear at one of the gift shops. So now I was wearing some Clemson sweats over the top of my clothes. The good news was that I was no longer cold, (or naked), and I now have some sweats to workout in at the gym while representing my favorite football team.
