Saw article saying Dabo & Saban haven’t taken salary cuts as some

have, and that Dabo’s $9,2000,000 take last year was not only the highest but took the highest % from a University’s student/administrative budget (4.4% vs 1-3% at other major universities).
I realize he’s worth & earned the $ but hopefully he has made an arrangement (quietly) to take a salary cut or deferment during these difficult economic times.

Well... if the Athletic Department isn't laying off folks

because of inability to meet payroll or canceling sports due to lack of funds then why would Dabo or Saban find it necessary to take a salary cut? I understand some coaches have chosen to take a pay cut but on it's face I see no reason why anyone should have an expectation that Clemson or Alabama would not continue to meet their contractual agreements so long as the schools have the funds to do so.
A better question may be why politicians haven't taken a pay cut - especially those that are not showing up in DC and are voting by proxy right now...

Dabo and Kathleen contribute a sizable proportion of their money to charity.

Sizeable that we know about. I suspect they do even more that they dont get publicized to support charities and deserving entities

It is always easier to give away or ask for other people's money.
Dabo didn't ask the university to go all stupid over the flu and if I were him, I'd tell Clemson's Sanders and Biden (Clements, DRad) to go pound sand. Who would he donate the money to, BLM or liberal professors?

Dabo isn’t Will muschamp or FSU’s new garbage coach. He’s not taking a pay cut nor should he. Paycuts are for losers

They haven't been asked to take a cut. I'm sure both Dabo and Saban will do so if their universities ask.

His salary is a made up number anyways. Only $250k comes from the state, last time I looked. The rest is a combo of Nike, his camps, IPTAY, and other sources so it may be harder to cut compared to other places that pay with primarily state dollars.
