Running QB

Nov 24, 2014, 2:00 AM

Why all of the hate on running the qb all of a sudden ? It's what we've done for three years and it worked. Yes players get injured, but does that mean the entire offense gets changed because of it? Watson was recruited because he can run......and pass....accurately. .......So why take away half of his game?

He's been a far more effective passer than runner

Thus far. We should lean on that Saturday. Hes not Johnny Manziel

We've always leaned on his passing. If SOS determines DW isn't a threat to run the passes will get a lot more difficult to complete and interceptions will follow.

Watson will play and Watson will run.

I hope he slides with his left leg on bottom so the coots can't spear it.

It's not a question of all the hate on running the qb.
Rather it's about how strong Watson's knee is after sprainning it against Tech.
Remember no one hit him when he sustained the knee sprain.
Consider what could happen if someone did!

It would have been bad considering the way he planted and that the other foot wasn't on the ground but it was a 1 in a million injury. Anyhow just wanted some thoughts thanks for not accusing me of being a SC troll for questioning the general consensus if the board.

If he does play I think we will see a lack of read

Read option and designed running. BUT the thing that makes Watson so special is that he has great sense in the pocket and to get out when it is crashing down (every pass play with our current O-Line), I'm worried about how he scrabbles more then how he runs the read option or designed runs. He's made multiple great throws off the run and that's when he's best. Worried he will lose that

Duh? He has been injured 5 times in his last 7 or 8 games

Nov 24, 2014, 9:36 AM

Unfortunately. I hope he plays and lets the running backs do the running and pass often! GO TIGERS!
