Ridiculous comments about Skalski on here today.

Jan 2, 2021, 1:26 PM

First of all I will not argue with the call but James Skalski is NOT a dirty player. What defender playing football at any level have you ever seen NOT lower their head from time to time to make a tackle? Skalski was not trying to hurt Fields and he did not hit him in the head. He was making a tackle plain and simple. I don’t agree with how the rule is applied or ignored from time to time but it is what it is. Props to Fields for being tough as nails and props to both players for how they acted after the game.

I don't think Skalski is a dirty player either, but he does have a number of targeting calls.

And he was trying to hurt Fields - maybe not injure but make him pay the price for running up the middle - yes.

Proud of the fact he owned it

Kids need to learn to tackle with their heads up. He recognized that and it’s the right call.

No one tackles with their head up in a north-south hit.... maybe 20% of the time. It's human nature. The rule was written to stop people from headhunting... now it's become the replay booth go to... what exactly is "forceable contact"? The entire game revolves around forcible contact. NCAA rules are vague on this and they need to fix it.

Skalski is every bit as dirty as the Bama players who played against DW4 that most of yall called out. I dont think any of them are too dirty. You play D because you like to hit. Nothing wrong with the way he plays in my eyes but I dont wanna see the people who called the Bama players dirty saying Skalski isnt.
