Quick analysis of the playoffs.

Dec 20, 2020, 12:32 AM

I'm assuming Clemson will be matched up against Ohio State in the semis, then Bama in the finals.

I don't think Ohio State is nearly as good as Notre Dame, so I'm not even gonna discuss that here.

After watching the SEC championship game here is my kneejerk reaction.

1. Florida has a great offense. But, it is no better (and probably not quite as good) than Clemson.

2. Florida has a below average defense. Not even in the same area code as Clemson.

Put those two together and I see Clemson as the favorite. But, the general public won't see it that way. Bama will probably be a 5-5 point favorite. So what?

1. I don't see Bama scoring 40 points against Clemson.

2. I do see Clemson scoring 40 points against Bama.

Plus we don't have the jackleg jerk Dan Mullen on the sideline.

Honestly, I think it will ND at 4 and I think that will be good for us. UF showed Bama has trouble with one good TE. ND has 3. They also have big strong lines that will take their toll. Bama also historically struggled with mobile QBs. Book’s elusiveness is a problem. Remember what Manziel did to UA? Don’t get me wrong, I think Bama wins, but I think it will come at a price.

Book played like he has in the past tonight**** -- pressure & blitz and he holds onto the ball too long -- same way we beat them in 2018 -- I believe Bama' will eat him up,like we did tonight -- our healthy defense will make Justin Fields look like the average quarterback, that he is -- Bama'- Clemson will go toe ta' toe in another round for the title !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO TIGERS !!!!!!!

the idea was to keep him hemmed in behind their behemoth Oline so he could not see his receivers, and it worked well. if he can get out into space he can create against any defense.

I like your way of thinking.
