Question of the day

Mar 22, 2016, 10:06 AM

This perfiful and chilly Tuesday morning got me thinking. How far do you travel for home games? I'm a Iptay newbie and have only been making my ,what seems like agonizing , 3 and half hour track the past two years. SO how far do you fellow Tiger fans travel?

Same , 3.5 to 4 hrs , depending on I-26 traffic and how much the missuses need to powder their noses .

5 1/2 hours or so from Wilmington, NC. It's a bit of a trek. Raleigh, Chapel Hole and Durham are closer for away games for us.

It's a pretty involved process for me

Mar 22, 2016, 10:25 AM

My driver picks me up early in the morning to make the 15 minute drive to the airport where my pilot has the private jet ready. After a short flight, I arrive at the private airport where my driver takes me to my tailgate spot next to the stadium. The toughest part of the day is making sure someone is there early in the morning to get my tailgate set up before my arrival. It can be a logistical nightmare at times. I used to have a chef at the tailgate beforehand but a couple times he was late, so I've started flying a chef with me from Charlotte. Then before game time, I make my way into the stadium to enjoy my Dippin Dots and watch the Tigers play.

Hitchhiking-- do you wear your Orange Straw hat and a tie(hopefully have clothes on...), and sit on your suitcase/steamer trunk at Exit 19A??????

Well the night before I drive from Charleston to Greenwood. Crash at my folks house then drive from there the next day.

So 3-3.5 hours then 1-1.5 hours.

Three hours plus. . . each way. Not so bad. Been doing it since 1964.

Guess I am a Tiger supporter even though I don't criticize every coaching decision and call for the head of those who don't play 'my way'!
