Does Skalski get ejected for that hit in any other game besides this one?

I don’t know but rules say you can’t lead with the helmet with forcible contact no matter where you hit the offensive player.

The problem is, if the qb does turn it is clean hit. The have to change the rule.

What about the helmet to Etienne's knee then? Selective call. I agree Skalski should have gone in head up but..

Trevor got ear holed the very next drive with the crown of the defensive players helmet yet it wasn’t called. Just saying.

yes, you can NEVER lead with the crown of your helmet. Players are taught to lead with their facemask to prevent spinal injuries, it is meant to protect the guy making the tackle.
also, my bother in law had a d1 scholarship offer and broke his neck making such a tackle, he never played again. Fortunately he has no serious issues outside of occasional seizures.

At least Skalski had his arms reached out in front of his crown. I’ve seen players not even attempt to use hands. I believe the rule needs to state that if you touch with the hands before the head contacts any part of the body , then it is permissible. If the helmet contacts first or it is helmet to helmet to a defenseless player. Then it will be intentional targeting.

it is really simple, keep you head up and lead with your facemask, it is what they are taught from pop warner on.

Have you ever tried to tackle someone with your neck 90 degrees with your hands out? It is so awkward you’d probably see more defenders with broken necks than you would see offensive personnel with concussions.

You are taught to see your target. Yes lead with face mask or shoulder not crown.

Just a week or so ago an "expert" in the booth said it had to be in the head or neck area.
