Question about ostarine.

Dec 26, 2018, 2:25 PM

Several pro athletes have tested positive for Ostarine and it ended up being caused by salt tablets.

Could it be possible that Clemson's new recovery pod (that uses a lot of epsom salt) was the cause of this?

I don't think we have any experts on Osterine in here today. Francis Marion is gone today.

Okay...what I do if I don't have a day job? Is it okay if I pursue a career in comedy?

Yes, that could be the cause and is being investigated. Seems a little far fetched to me personally, but they are checking everything.

They are looking into the epsom salt baths that the players use

Not possible

Dec 26, 2018, 2:56 PM

If you remember in one of the vlogs, they mention that the d line had previously been driving to Greenville to do a sensory deprivation chamber there.

If it was that, it would have already happened to use or someone else.

Re: Not possible

Dec 26, 2018, 2:59 PM

It is possible, not likely but possible. The chamber and salts used at the facility in Greenville are likely not identical to what we we use in-house, so the fact they have used another chamber is really irrelevant.

Again, not likely...but possible and is one of the things being researched.

What is your expertise?

Dec 26, 2018, 3:09 PM

How do you know it is possible?
Would they have had to drink the salt water or could they have absorbed by floating?

It's been written about on a few different columns and stories today. The one I linked to earlier was from the Post & Courier and stated that our science lab staff are checking that tank because it uses over 1000 pounds of Epsom salt. I assume it would be absorbed, not drank. It's the same reason they would be checking body lotions and hair products.

Was those 3 guys that tested positive the only 3 that used the that used the epsom salt bath. If so, you could be onto something....

Re: Question about ostarine.

Dec 26, 2018, 3:14 PM

That's not the right question. The question is, of the people that were tested (which is not the whole team), were these 3 some of the most frequent users of the tank. Clearly they are not the only 3, but they could be the most frequent or most recent users.

I highly doubt that Galloway and Giella (sp?) would be among the people that use that recovery pod the most as they aren't among the people that play the most plays. You would think that the rest of the starting D-line would be among the most.

It is good that they are looking into every conceivable possibility and you have to know that even though it hasn't been expressly said but they are going through those 3 guys rooms and lockers with a fine tooth comb looking for the cause as well.

Re: Question about ostarine.

I would also expect the rest of the D-Line to be more common users - we agree there. But again, that's not the question. If the rest of the D-Line was not part of this test, then the amount of time they spent in the tank is irrelevant in comparison.
