Public Lake Boat Ramp -- Death Valley

Jun 17, 2020, 3:04 PM

My sons (teenagers) and I will be coming up to Clemson to spend a couple days next week. Been coming to games for years, but never got on the lake in Clemson. Their request for vacation this year is to "jet ski and be able to see Death Valley". Where is the closest public boat ramp to the stadium? Any help would be appreciated.

Be sure to go up north of Clemson to the base of the Issaqueena ###. There are a couple of good rope swings with long drops to the water. There also some good beaches south of Clemson for horse shoes or swimming.

Issaqueena is a great memory for sure! We used to slide down

the ### into Hartwell. That water in Lake Issaqueena is COLD!

No. But that is a reasonable facsimile of a few times I was there.

Put up and taken down again

They finally just cut the tree down

The closest is the Seneca Creek landing located just behind the Y beach area off of Seneca Creek Rd. The aforementioned Twelve Mike Creek landing, which is nicer and Corps owned, is temporarily closed (at least it was last week).

without Strom's efforts years ago DV could be a boat ramp from what I've heard

Twin Lakes has a usable boat ramp and a good camp ground run by the Corp of Engineers.

The closest ramp on the East side is at the end of Mountain

View Lane just North of 123.

The closest ramp to the stadium on the West side of the lake is Seneca Creek boat ramp on the north end of Seneca Creek Road.

If you are going to be on the lake for several days, it would be worth your trouble to make your way over to lake jocasse at devils fork state park. It’s about 25 miles through the woods but by far the prettiest lake around and well worth the effort

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

True. But don't go on the weekend. It's been at capacity

Jun 17, 2020, 10:11 PM

many times lately.

It's also $8 per person now.
