The only way that's going to happen if we win out and USuC wins the SEC. Because the only way we make it to a BCS bowl is to win out. That would leave USuC with 3 losses. The only way a 3 loss USuC team makes it to the Sugar bowl would be for them to win the SECheat. That would leave Bama out of the MNC game with a loss in the SECCG.

You think that's "neat"

With us at #6 in the BCS, not sure if we would fall past #15 in The BCS with a loss to USuC. We could go with 2 losses.

How does the math work

Nov 10, 2013, 9:10 PM

with us being 8th?

Not very enlightened football fans, anybody calling for USC to a BCS bowl is using 1 formula

1. USC winning out Fla, Coastal, Clemson
2. UGA or Mizzou winning SEC East
3. UGA or Mizzou losing to Bama
4. USC being a top 6 or 7 team and the highest ranked SEC team after Mizzou or UGA get another loss to Bama, Auburn loses last game of year to Bama, Texas A&M loses to LSU

this gives USC a Sugar Bowl birth by default

Many USC fans are discussing Mizzou and UGA losing and USC getting SEC East and go play Bama and lose and drop to Chick Fil A

Or back door a BCS by not winning east and not getting an extra loss in SEC Champ game

Lots of folks say no want Bama and want SEC East champ while some say no don't want another loss only 4 seniors youngest team in Div 1 and want a BCS but not another loss in SEC Champ game

Interesting discussion though

Odds are NOT in favor of SC even winning the East......

Situation #1: Missouri wins out, finishes 11-1, goes to Atlanta for SEC Championship.

Situation #2: Missouri loses one of three games, finishes 10-2(6-2 SEC). South Carolina wins out, finishes 10-2(6-2 SEC). South Carolina would own the tiebreaker because of the head-to-head win against Missouri.

Situation #3: Missouri loses one of three games, finishes 10-2(6-2 SEC). Georgia wins out, finishes 9-3(6-2 SEC). This would be a tie, as both teams would have the same SEC record, but Missouri would own the tiebreaker as Missouri beat Georgia.

Situation #4: Here is the confusing one… Missouri loses either to Ole Miss or Texas A&M (NOT Kentucky). Finishes 10-2(6-2 SEC, 5-1 East). South Carolina wins out, finishes 10-2(6-2 SEC, 4-2 East). Georgia wins out, finishes 9-3(6-2 SEC, 4-2 East). Many people think that South Carolina would hold this tiebreaker, but that is not the case. In a three way tiebreak situation, the records from the division are taken, and as Missouri would have the best division record, they would hold the tiebreaker.

So then that means he thinks SC beats us, cause

Nov 10, 2013, 10:02 PM

no way a 3 loss team gets a BCS bowl

Simple

Mizzou has better shot beating Ole Miss and A&M at home with no defense

UGA loses to Auburn this weekend maybe badly

but yes the division winner would be decided on inter division wins which USC has 2 losses to UGA and Tenn
