Prayers for Florida Panhandle, Cat 4 Michael approaching

This is what we avoided when Florence weakened before hitting the Carolinas, but Michael is still strengthening. God be with them.

Pressure at 933mb, lower than Hurricane Hazel...May strengthen even more before landfall. Just an incredible storm.

I hope you’ve evacuated far inland. The reports are predicting catastrophic damage along the coast and storm surge flooding as far as 20 miles. That’s hard to even imagine that it would go up the waterways that far.

Those in the path of this storm need our prayers. This is uncharted, historic for the Florida panhandle region. I would not be surprised if the FSU game gets moved next week. Damage is going to be quite extensive even that far inland.

What exactly is compassionate about doing nothing?

Or are you arguing that praying does something helpful?

If it’s just so important for you to express your atheistic point of view, we have a bored for that.

Then it would be fair to expect no tolerance in return?

I think we could have all used a little tolerance &/or compassion at some point.
But I’m not looking to get in a philosophical debate, just saying there are usually two sides and people don’t have to agree on a subject to be civil with one another, especially in the face of a natural disaster.

Thanks! Not much happening here in Fort Walton at the moment, but the Big Bend area flooding and wind damage to Panama City will leave a mark for years to come

Prayers lifted and I hope it doesn't stop and sit on top of everyone for 3 days like it did here in WIlmington. We still have families displaced, huge piles of debris on every roadside, etc. They just picked up all the stuff in front of our house yesterday.

In North Myrtle at Ocean Drive. Matthew was pretty scary at Cat. 2. I will NEVER stay if we get another one at 3 or above. I CAN’T imagine waiting out Michael at 150+ MPH winds...at this moment, got gust anywhere bw 40&60 MPH.. GO TIGERS!!!!
