That's actually a picture of the Alabama Crimson Tide football heading home after the tail whipping we gave them back in 2019.

took my son to see Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey in Florence before they shut it down. He was only three or four but he thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Mills House now sits where the old St. John Hotel used to be.

Actually the Mills House was there before the Civil War,and later re named the St.John.It has been reported but I cannot not verify it that a certain young Army Corp of Engineer Lt. stayed there while working on the construction of Ft.Sumter, Later that hotel went into disrepair, was sold in 1968,renovated and reopened in 1970 under the Mills Hyatt Hotel. In 2013 the hotel was sold to Wyndham.

Yep Robert E Lee watched Charleston burn in the great city fire of 1861 from the balcony of the mills house hotel. It is said the blacks/slaves working in the hotel at the time hung wet blankets on the outside walls of the hotel to prevent it from catching fire.

I am more worried about the elephants than I am about a kid seeing an elephant doing tricks. I realize you are just ignorant, but those elephants are tortured and abused. Circuses are terrible for elephants. You're an idiot.

Kind sir, it is you who should be recognized as court jester, fool or otherwise the town idiot. The Chinese have done more to decimate the Elephant population by participating/coordinating the illegal Ivory trade than any #amn circus has or ever will!!!

God, you're dumb. Are you senile? What does that have to do with the USA. I think you're projecting my geriatric senile acquaintance. It was just a casual comment initially. Yes, the circus is terrible for elephants. They beat, shock, stab, these elephants into submission. You're a confused old man. I think the picture is cool. I just realized those elephants were tortured. I like elephants. It's still a fascinating picture. It was just a comment. Now pipe down moron and move on.

Based on the automobiles on the curb, this is around 1930. Also, the three buildings beginning at the right are still there.
