Ole Miss players threatening to transfer over Matt Luke firing

I'm reading that the news did not go over well AT ALL with the players and the portal will more than likely be flooded as a result. Also, Luke knew that he was getting fired but still went to a commit's house, trying to convince him to stick with Ole Miss. Seems to me like they didn't really give him enough time to turn things around. He started his tenure with the program under sanctions. Seems like this could be deeper than the W-L column though.

He wasn’t bowl eligible and had lack of scholarships so he couldn’t recruit very well and players had to transfer. Yes it was premature and more so the wrong decision, I’ve heard him speak and seen how players rally around him and thought he would be successful
